Audio I/O from Java not supported on this system

If you get the error message:

java.lang.RuntimeException: Audio I/O from Java not supported on this system.

then it may be because you do not have a microphone or speakers plugged in. Vista and Win7 can now detect whether a mic or speaker is plugged in and throw this error.

Another possibility is that another application is hogging the audio device. Try shutting other music/audio apps and try again.

In V1.97 we now post an informative message when this occurs. We used to print an unfriendly stack dump.
